OKR Free Book Festival

Support Literacy In Trenton, NJ!

Our Kids Read, in partnership with the Princeton University Class of 1979, is bringing a Free Book Festival to the 2024 Princeton Reunions!

As part of this year's 2024 Princeton Reunions, Our Kids Read is partnering with the Class of 1979 to bring a group of 5th graders from a local Trenton elementary school for a day of literacy and mentorship. The Class of '79 service event will feature events at Firestone Library, a campus tour, storytelling and, of course, FREE BOOKS for every student!

The Princeton University Class of 1979 is delighted to bring an Our Kids Read Free Book Festival back to Princeton Reunions for the second consecutive year (last year Our Kids Read partnered with the Class of 1998 to execute similar service event: https://vimeo.com/838100408).

This year's event will feature a campus tour with students and Tigers, celebrity guest speakers, small group reading with our guest students, and three free books for each young guest.

The books selected for inclusion in the virtual book drive are all diverse books featuring positive Hispanic, Asian, African-American and Native-American characters.

Students will also enjoy small group tours of Cotsen children's library with stops in the rare books collection.

There are two (2) ways to support, select one or the other (or both!):
